MEDICA 2026 runs November 16 to 19, 2026 at the Dusseldorf fairgrounds, in parallel with the supplier show COMPAMED. The most recent editions counted more than 5,000 exhibitors and around 80,000 trade visitors from all over the world, filling nearly the entire venue. Messebau Köln und Düsseldorf (German for exhibition stand construction Cologne and Dusseldorf) is operated by Standbuilder International, Inc.; your MEDICA trade show booth is planned and built by CBS Neospace GmbH of Ratingen, ISO 9001:2015 certified, headquartered a 15-minute drive from the halls with its own warehouse in Düren.

Built for US med-tech exhibitors

  • A contact in your time zone. Standbuilder International, Inc. (Atlanta) takes your inquiry and stays your English-speaking counterpart, so project decisions do not wait for European mornings.
  • German execution, English documentation. CBS Neospace handles design, engineering, venue permits and construction; quotes, schedules and order summaries reach you in English.
  • MEDICA know-how. Meeting-heavy booth layouts, demo stations with power and data, compliant product presentation: the concept reflects how MEDICA actually works, with more enclosed meeting space than consumer-show booths.
  • No venue-deadline surprises. Messe Dusseldorf’s order deadlines for power, rigging and passes fall weeks before the show; CBS Neospace tracks and meets them within your project.

Your MEDICA 2026 timeline

For a custom booth, start by May or June 2026, about six months ahead. Rental stands can work with six to ten weeks, but for MEDICA we recommend at least three months:

  1. By June 2026: inquiry via the contact form (response by the next business day), briefing, concept and quote
  2. July to August 2026: design approval, engineering, permits and orders with Messe Dusseldorf
  3. September to October 2026: fabrication in Ratingen, graphics production, technical orders
  4. November 2026: build-up per venue schedule, turnkey handover before November 16, show support, dismantling from November 19

What a MEDICA booth costs

The Dusseldorf ranges apply: customized rental stands about 400 to 800 EUR per m² of construction, custom builds from about 800 EUR per m², plus Messe Dusseldorf space rental and technical services. A complete 50 m² corner-booth presence including space, construction, staff and travel typically lands between 52,000 and 63,000 EUR. All figures are indicative reference values; the binding quote comes from CBS Neospace GmbH after your inquiry. Renting locally usually beats shipping a booth from the US on cost and risk; the rental stands page explains the packages.

The Ratingen advantage during MEDICA build-up

MEDICA build-up days are the busiest of the Dusseldorf year: timed gate slots, crowded aisles, short windows. CBS Neospace is headquartered in Ratingen, about eight kilometers (five miles) from the fairgrounds and roughly 15 minutes by van via the A44, and keeps its own warehouse stock in Düren. Replacement graphics, extra furniture or a last-minute fix arrive from own stock the same day, which is exactly the margin that keeps a handover on schedule. Frequently asked questions

When is MEDICA 2026?

November 16 to 19, 2026, at the Dusseldorf fairgrounds, Monday to Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday until 4 p.m. The supplier show COMPAMED runs in parallel.

When should a US exhibitor order a MEDICA booth?

Custom booths: by May or June 2026, about six months ahead, which also leaves room for your internal approvals. Rental stands: at least three months ahead for MEDICA. Later inquiries are checked case by case; availability and surcharges then depend on the market.

What does a MEDICA booth cost?

Indicatively: rental stands about 400 to 800 EUR per m² of construction, custom builds from about 800 EUR per m², plus venue space rental, technical services, staff and travel. A complete 50 m² presence typically runs 52,000 to 63,000 EUR. Binding numbers come with the CBS Neospace quote.

Can you build demo stations for medical devices?

Yes: demo counters with power and data, screen walls, device mounts and lockable storage are standard MEDICA requirements. Tell us early if devices need water, compressed air or above-average power, so venue orders are placed on time.

Is our contract under German or US law?

Your construction contract is concluded directly with CBS Neospace GmbH in Germany, which builds and is responsible for the work. Standbuilder International, Inc. operates this offering and remains your English-speaking contact throughout. This split is stated openly on every page of this website.
