Koelnmesse offers around 284,000 m² (roughly 3 million sq ft) of exhibition space in 11 halls, unusually central for a venue this size, and hosts some 80 events a year, from Anuga and ISM to gamescom, ORGATEC and dmexco. Messebau Köln und Düsseldorf (German for exhibition stand construction Cologne and Dusseldorf) is operated by Standbuilder International, Inc.; every Koelnmesse exhibition booth is planned and built by CBS Neospace GmbH of Ratingen, ISO 9001:2015 certified, with warehouse stock in Düren supplying the venue.

Koelnmesse logistics: what matters for exhibitors

  • Timed gate slots. Deliveries run on assigned time windows and holding areas. Short regional distances keep the schedule workable even when slots shift, and same-day resupply from Düren covers anything missing during build-up.
  • Order deadlines. Power, water, rigging, passes and permit-relevant structures run through Koelnmesse’s ordering systems, with deadlines typically four to eight weeks before the show. CBS Neospace files these orders on time within your project, so surcharges never become your problem.
  • Venue regulations. Build heights, material fire classes and statics for double-deck or suspended structures are engineered in from the start, not discovered during build-up. All venue paperwork is documented for you in English.

Exhibitors at Koelnmesse are free to choose their own booth builder; the venue’s technical guidelines are binding, and CBS Neospace is responsible for meeting them. Koelnmesse GmbH operates the fairgrounds; we describe it here purely as a venue.

Key shows at the venue

Dedicated pages with dates, timelines and costs exist for Anuga, gamescom, ORGATEC, dmexco and ISM; further dates, including imm cologne, FIBO and interzum, are in the German fair calendar. We build for every event and guest event at the venue.

Frequently asked questions

Can we choose our own booth builder at Koelnmesse?

Yes. Exhibitors choose their builder freely; the venue’s technical guidelines on heights, materials and permits are binding. CBS Neospace knows these procedures from years of projects and handles registrations and orders for you, documented in English.

What deadlines should exhibitors watch at Koelnmesse?

Beyond the show’s own registration deadline, mainly the ordering deadlines for power, water, rigging and passes, usually four to eight weeks before opening, plus submission deadlines for permit-relevant structures. Within a project, CBS Neospace tracks all of them for you.

Can a US company exhibit at Koelnmesse without German-language staff?

Yes. Standbuilder International, Inc. is your English-speaking contact in a US time zone, and CBS Neospace processes the venue’s German-language forms and paperwork for you. Consulting, design, quotes and handover all work in English.
